The AnchorGene
People lean on you, and you've learned to carry it. Most of your money decisions have someone else's name on them too.
“Everyone I love is standing on this.”
An answer that worked once, and got handed down.
Somewhere along the way, a lot of people started depending on one steady income, and you were the one holding it. Every money decision became a decision about someone else's school fees, someone else's medicine, someone else's bad month.
Cover everyone else first
Keep a cushion for things that haven't happened yet
Worry about money without telling anyone
Inner voice: “First, make sure everyone is covered.”
People feel safe near you. When things go wrong, you're often the reason they get through.
Putting yourself last on the list, every single time.
Add one thing you need to the list, right next to everyone else's.
“Try this week” is a small thing to notice, not financial advice.
The shadow side.
You rarely say what you need. You carry the worry alone and put yourself at the bottom of the list. You belong on that list too.
What it fears most: letting someone down. Not being able to cover it.
The same Gene looks different at work and at home.
How the Anchor tends to show up in each arena. These are starting points from our working notes, not rules.
| Self | Last to be funded |
|---|---|
| Family | Everyone's backstop |
| Partner | Plans together, covers gaps |
| Social | Contributes dutifully |
| Work | Reliable, risk-averse |
| Crisis | Holds steady, absorbs it |
What it looks like
Fino starts as an egg and hatches when you take the Scan. If Anchor leads, it takes this form: deep blue, slow and heavy, like a tide that doesn't hurry. It stays steady while the rest flicker. Your second Gene shows as veins, your third as a soft glow.
In your voice
Fino adjusts its tone to your main Gene. For a Anchor: warm, steady, speaks to you directly. It still never tells you what to buy, sell or hold.
Sound like you, or closer to a neighbour?

Asked often.
No. Looking after people is the gift. The Anchor's blind spot is leaving yourself off the list entirely, for years.
Yes. Everyone carries all eight. Your Fingene is the two that lead: your main Gene and your second, shown as a split such as 64% and 36%.
It can. Retake the Scan whenever you like, and your earlier results are kept so you can see the change. The Genes themselves may also be refined as we learn.
No. It is an educational tool for self-awareness. It is not a clinical assessment and not financial advice.
