Everyone carriesall eight.
A Gene is a way of handling money that you picked up early, usually at home, usually without anyone saying it out loud. The Scan shows which two lead for you. That pair is your Fingene.

You're always after the next idea, trip or chance to grow.
Read about Chaser →Genes are a starting point and may be refined, merged or retired as we learn from real people. Built for India first.
Each one began as a sensible answer.
Every Gene started as an answer to one question: what do I do when money is uncertain? A household that couldn't count on next month learned to stack. One that took a sudden loss learned to anchor. The answer worked once, got repeated, and was passed down through dinner-table advice, through what parents argued about, and through what they never said.
- Inherited, not destiny.
A Gene shows up differently depending on where you are and how tired you are.
- None is better than another.
Each one protects something and costs something.
- You carry all eight.
In different strengths. The strongest sets Fino’s colour; the others show underneath.
The same Gene behaves differently in each.
A Stacker at work isn’t a Stacker in a crisis. These are our working notes, and the Scan weighs them.
| Gene | Self | Family | Partner | Social | Work | Crisis |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Stacker | Saves first, spends last | Teaches thrift | Wants a shared target | Skips the pricey outing | Steady, slow raises | Draws on the pile calmly |
| Wildcard | Impulse buys, side bets | Keeps risks quiet | Thrills, then arguments | Picks up the big tab | Chases the breakout role | Doubles down or acts fast |
| Anchor | Last to be funded | Everyone's backstop | Plans together, covers gaps | Contributes dutifully | Reliable, risk-averse | Holds steady, absorbs it |
| Calculator | Tracks every line | Compares before agreeing | Wants the spreadsheet | Splits to the rupee | Builds the model | Freezes without data |
| Striver | Rewards self after each win | Funds their next step | Ambition over rest | Shows progress | Pushes hardest here | Works harder, ignores warnings |
| Vault | Holds privately | Reveals little | Keeps accounts separate | Avoids lending | Low profile, safe | Locks down, cuts everything |
| Open Hand | Spends on others | Covers anyone | Gives freely, rarely asks | First to pay | Shares credit and cash | Gives even when drained |
| Chaser | Buys the experience | Surprises with leaps | Needs variety | Joins every plan | Switches roles often | Looks for a new path |
Two Genes, one mix.
The Scan doesn’t put you in one box. It shows your main Gene and your second, as a split. For example: mostly Striver, 64% Striver and 36% Open Hand. The main Gene always shows at least 55%, so the result never reads as a tie.
Example only. Not a real person’s result.
Asked often.
They come from the research groundwork behind the Scan: recognisable ways people in India handle money, and where those habits come from. No validation study has finished yet. When one does, we will publish what it finds, whatever it finds.
No. Each has a gift and a blind spot. None is ranked above another.
Because these habits are usually inherited from the people who raised us. It is a metaphor, not biology: nothing here is genetic, and nothing is fixed.
Yes. Retake the Scan whenever you like. Earlier results are kept so you can see what moved.
