A plan thatbends with the week.
Money Plan gives your spending some shape without turning it into a rulebook. Envelopes keep the everyday in view, goals show whether you are on track, and a weekly stance sets the tone for the days ahead.
Three views, one calm place.
Money Plan sits on top of your Ledger and your check-ins. It has three tabs, each with its own job: Budgeting for the everyday, Planning for the things you are working towards, and Expenses for the shape of recent months.
It’s built on one idea: a plan you follow loosely beats a perfect plan you abandon. Everything here assumes some weeks will go sideways.
This week’s stance
Envelopes
Everyday, goals, and the shape of it all.
- Budgeting
Envelopes for the parts of life you want to keep in view, each with a suggested cap that you can accept or change. A weekly stance sets your intent: cool the impulse, build the buffer, sprint to a goal, or write your own.
- Planning
Goals with a clear target and a one-word status: on track, or behind. Behind is not an alarm. It is a prompt to ask what changed.
- Expenses
A calm comparison of the last thirty days with the thirty before, by category, so a drift upward or downward is visible without a spreadsheet.
Choose how this week should feel.
A stance is a lens for the week, not a rule. You can change it any time.
For restless weeks
Puts quick, in-the-moment purchases in the foreground and keeps the other envelopes in the background.
For anxious weeks
Emphasises the cushion, so a surprise feels less like a threat.
For focused weeks
Pulls one goal forward and shows how the week supports it.
For everything else
Write your own intention in your own words.
See what actually happened.
The Outcomes view looks back at how closely your weeks followed your intentions, and how your categories have moved. It shows how closely you’ve stuck to the plan over time, as a pattern, never as a grade.
A week that did not match the plan is useful data about the plan. It might have been too tight, or the stance might have been wrong for how you were feeling. Looking at it that way is the point.
A plan, not a leash.
Is built to
- Offer suggested caps you can change
- Say “behind” without shame
- Show trends in everyday words
- Adapt to the kind of week you are having
Will not
- Lock you out or enforce a budget
- Tell you which product to put money in
- Compare you with other people
- Judge a goal as good or bad
Goals and envelopes organise your own money and intentions. They are not investment, tax or legal advice, and Fingene does not recommend where to put money. Decisions are yours.
Asked often.
No. It uses what you add to the Ledger and your check-ins.
They are starting points based on what you have entered. You can change or ignore them, and they are not recommendations about any product.
It shows you where you are. Nothing is locked and nothing is reported anywhere.
Yes. Each goal shows whether it is on track or behind.
