Eleven switches.All of them yours.
You should not have to agree to everything to use anything. Fingene asks for each kind of permission separately, tells you what stops working if you say no, and lets you change your mind at any time.
Consent, one thing at a time.
Most apps ask once, with a long document nobody reads. Fingene asks per kind of data, in the moment the feature needs it, and keeps a record you can inspect.
Each switch says what stops working if you turn it off. Often the answer is nothing important. Sometimes it means a feature goes quiet. You can see the trade before you make it.
You decide, one switch at a time
Every permission, in plain language.
These are the kinds of consent the app tracks. Names are shown here in simple terms.
| Switch | What it covers | If you turn it off |
|---|---|---|
| Core data access | Storing your account and Scan answers | The core product cannot run |
| Pattern reading | Letting Fingene infer patterns from your check-ins | Mind Readerâ„¢ stops; much else carries on |
| Fino companion | Letting Fino use your context in conversation | Fino stops using it; chat becomes generic |
| Interaction signals | How quickly you respond or scroll, as light clues | Fewer clues about timing; nothing else changes |
| Notifications | Sending you reminders and nudges | Fino Steer and reminders go quiet |
| City-level location | Only for features that need your city | Those features are unavailable |
| Fitness data | A placeholder for the future, not active | Nothing changes |
| Journal content | Letting Fino see your private notes | Fino stops seeing them |
| Financial data | Using the entries you add and import | Insights lean on check-ins alone |
| Bank-message reading | Reading messages you paste, then discarding them | You add entries by hand |
| Community | Joining and posting in Community | You leave the community features |
Change your mind, cleanly.
- Withdraw with or without deleting
When you switch something off, you choose whether to keep what was already collected or purge it. Purging asks you to type DELETE, so it is never an accident.
- See your history
Every grant and every withdrawal is recorded, with the version of the notice you agreed to, in a history you can read. It is append-only, so entries are not rewritten.
- Settings that fit you
Choose English or Hindi, text size, high contrast and reduced motion. Set or remove a reminder time.
- Export or delete
From Settings you can export your data as a file, change your email or password, delete your account (typing DELETE), or retake the Scan.
- A public deletion page
A deletion request page that works without opening the app is part of the launch commitments.
These are our commitments for launch, and we will not report success we have not achieved. If part of an export or deletion cannot be completed, we will tell you. The full wording is in the Privacy policy and the Deletion and export page, both in effect from 20 October 2026.
