What We Mean by “Education-Only”

Fingene will never tell you what to buy, sell or hold. Here is what that promise includes, and why we hold to it.

You will see the phrase “education, not advice” across Fingene. It is worth saying exactly what it means, because it shapes almost every product decision.

What we do

  • Explain how behaviour works around money, in everyday words
  • Reflect your own patterns back to you
  • Offer questions to think about, and small optional moves
  • Point to helplines if you are struggling

What we do not do

  • Recommend, rate or compare any stock, fund, loan or insurance product
  • Predict returns, prices or markets
  • Give personalised investment advice
  • Move, hold or manage your money

Why we hold to it

There are practical reasons: Fingene is not a registered investment adviser, and we do not want to behave like one. But the deeper reason is about what we believe helps. Most people do not lack a product recommendation. They lack a clearer view of how they decide, and a recommendation from an app does not supply that.

It also keeps us honest. A company that earns by recommending products has a reason to find reasons to recommend them. We would rather earn by being useful for understanding.

What it looks like in the app

If you ask Fino what to invest in, it will tell you it doesn't recommend what to buy, sell or hold, and will offer to help you notice how you tend to feel before big money decisions. That reply is not a failure of the product. It is the product.

If you want advice on specific investments, speak to a SEBI-registered investment adviser.

A question to sit with

Which money decision in your life would benefit more from clearer self-knowledge than from another recommendation?

Fingene Insights is educational and descriptive. Nothing here is investment, tax or legal advice, and nothing recommends any stock, fund or financial product.
